Faculty member Suzanne Wolfe won the bronze prize in the 3D category of the 2009 Ulsan International Onggi Competition. There were five categories: grand, gold, silver, bronze, and special. Suzanne won bronze for her piece "Domestic Interior", pictured above. This vessel is made of earthenware clay and formed using a method similar to the way Onggi vessels are made.
The 2009 Ulsan International Onggi Competition parallels the opening of the Onggi Culture Center in Ulsan, South Korea.
