Jaimey Hamilton receives 2012 Annual Faculty Diversity Award

Jaimey Hamilton

Jaimey Hamilton (Asst. Professor of Contemporary Art) teaches on topics related to contemporary visual culture, transnationalism, and consumer and commodity culture.

Jaimey received the 2012 Annual Faculty Diversity Award from the UHM SEED Commission on Diversity.  She was recognized for her contributions to enhancing diversity at UH through her work in Intersections and her two books, SPAM MAPS: Questions about Asia Pacific Contemporary Art and Uncommon Goods: The Global Dimensions of the Readymade, both forthcoming.

Check out 3 of Diane Chen's Meissen porcelain plates adorned with email spam, in the Honolulu Museum of Art's new ceramics display to be on view for years to come! Congratulations, Diane!

Diane Chen's art is also featured in north shore, an exhibition of ceramics, collage, painting, and photography, along with artists Kathy Coakley, Christian Gotfredson, Karin Rosenthal, Julia von Metzsch, Curated by Christina Godfrey.  On view May 18 - Sept 7, at McGladrey Art Gallery in Charleston, MA.
