Jon Hamblin at Koa Art Gallery



















MFA Alum Jon Hamblin has work in the group exhibition Confluence at the Koa Art Gallery. Confluence is on display from September 16 - October 9, 2010. Opening reception is September 16 from 4:30-7:00 p.m.
Gallery hours are Monday - Friday 10:00-4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00-3:00 p.m.

Brian C. Lo MFA Thesis Exhibition














MFA student Brian C. Lo will have his MFA thesis exhibition, Exchange of Understanding, on display in the Commons Gallery from September 20 - October 1, 2010.
Exchange of Understanding features large mixed media works that explore interpersonal relationships in the digital age.
Opening reception is September 26 from 3:00 -5:00 p.m.
Common Gallery hours are Monday - Friday 10:30-4:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00- 4:00 p.m.

Fred Roster at The Academy Arts Center














Chair of the Sculpture Department Fred Roster, has a survey of his work from 1969- present on display at The Academy Arts Center at Linekona. The exhibition titled: It Seemed Like the Future, opened September 3 and will be on display until September 26, 2010.
Gallery hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Sunday 1 - 5 p.m.

Reem Bassous Solo Exhibition















Lecturer Reem Bassous has an upcoming solo exhibition, Plexus, on display from September 26 - November 12, 2010 at the Hawai'i Pacific University Art Gallery.
Opening Reception is Sunday, September 26, 2010 4 - 6 p.m.

BFA Alum, Kanako Nagai is performing in Crazy Wisdom- Pan Asian Performance Art Tour 2010 at Incheon Art Platform and Gwangju Biennial, Korea.

Chris Rohrer: 1st Place in Faces of Hawai'i Photo Competition













Undergraduate photography student Chris Rohrer received first place in HI Art Magazine's: Faces of Hawai'i 2010 Photo Portrait Competition.
Exhibition opening and book debut is on November 25th 2-5 p.m. at idspace in Kurtistown, Big Island

Chris's winning portrait , Ikaika, [pictured top] will be the cover photo for the Faces of Hawai'i Vol. 3.
