Compress a new exhibition up at Art at Marks Garage features the work of Faculty: Gaye Chan, Charles Cohan, Duncan Dempster, and Scott Groeniger , current MFA students: Lian Lederman and Alison Uttley, and Alums: Eric Beyer, Cassandra Locke Jackson, Ariana Kaneakua, Alan Konishi, Robert Molyneux, Erika Johnson Molyneux, Deborah Nehmad, Matthew Ortiz, Dieter Runge, and Thomas Wasson
The exhibition, curated by Erika Johnson Molyneux, is a discourse on technologies take over of communication. 26 artists were asked to participate, but under one condition- all the pieces had to be related to printmaking.
The show opened on October 13 and is running until November 21st. Be sure to attend the opening reception on November 6th [ First Friday Artwalk] from 6 - 10. Don't worry if you didn't make the opening there is a closing reception on November 19th from 6- 10. Art at Marks Garage is located at 1159 Nuuanu Ave. Gallery hours are Tuesday - Saturday 11 am - 6 pm.
