Eternal Blinking: Contemporary Art of Korea
Eternal Blinking: Contemporary Art of Korea, the current exhibition at the University of Hawaii Art Gallery brings together 18 contemporary Korean artists who have been specially selected to highlight the historical dynamism of modern Korea. The artists experienced Korea's turbulent history from authoritarian military regimes through the dramatic democratization and flourishing industrial development of it's formative years. Their work, which reflects on the past but incorporates contemporary exchange with the global art community, has received international recognition. Eternal Blinking was organized by the Korea College Association of Art and supported by the Korea Foundation.
Eternal Blinking was recently reviewed in the Honolulu Weekly by Marcia Morse, in the Star Bulletin by Joleen Oshiro, and on Hawai'i Public Radio.
Eternal Blinking, which opened February 21, 2010 will remain on display until April 9, 2010.
University of Hawaii Art Gallery hours are Monday - Friday 10:30 am- 5:00 pm and Sunday noon - 5:00 pm.
