Emily McIlroy (current MFA student) was a part of the team with the Honolulu Academy of Arts Center’s Art-To-Go program for youth, in collaboration with the Hawaii Arts Alliance/The Arts at Marks Garage. As site instructor she organized weekly classes teaching the basic elements of photography, leading group excursions throughout Chinatown, and guiding the students through the process of photo editing, preparing and installing the exhibition HEALTHY-BOUND CHINATOWN at Arts at Marks. Opening FRIDAY, APRIL 3, 2009 .
